The divers flock to light shallows where droves swim in uniform
but as i listen to the whale’s song the waves carry me to sea.
Close yet a lone sinks into the bank watching crushes resist the currents,
as searching the schools for a pearl unsuccessful continues.
Beached undesired and experienced, i lay building dreams in the sand
while lone treads water adrift. But time turns tides for me and my lone,
there is light in our depth, shimmering for the treasures we are.
Oceans are the only home to the mysteries of mermaids and sirens,
immersed yet unaware of the fortunate catch lone divers plunges,
deep into the sea and finds me.
